You may remember my post during Winter Restaurant Week. Read it if you want to know how I feel about it. If you don’t have time to read it, the gist is that I’m not a big fan, except for maybe the lunch deal at certain select places.
So, now it gets worse. I was thinking about taking my mom to lunch but then noticed that a ton of good places are not participating anymore: Gramercy Tavern, Union Square Cafe, Eleven Madison Park…

USC has their ‘own’ RW till this Friday. Check out their website. Oh, and they’ll donate a dollar if you order the lunch prix-fixe too.
Kim, that’s awesome! Thanks for the update!
All lunch slots for USC and Eleven Madison Park are already booked. They do have wait lists though.
yea. I tried to book USC, but all booked as well.
I know you don’t think highly of restaurant week, but I’ve never been to one. So do you have any recomendations for me?
Darn, I hope you still find a great spot!
Manasi, looking at the list, here are a few restaurants I like (again, I don’t know if they do restaurant week well): Asia de Cuba (haven’t been in about 6 years though), August (went for brunch), Blue Water Grill is safe, Convivio, Del Posto, Elettaria, ilili, Lupa (haven’t been in 7 years), Wildwood.
Stay away from Morimoto and Giorgio’s of Gramercy.
