I got a bottle of Olave, extra virgin olive oil, as a departing gift at a press event for food products from Chile. This was a while back but we were still going through all the bottles of olive oil we got from Greece. We finally finished it all and got to open this one. (Now, we’re actually running dangerously low.)
Olave is very fruity, just the way we like it. It runs at about $9-$13 per 250 ML bottle, which isn’t cheap, but not too bad either. Use it just for dressing, finishing, or dipping. Don’t cook (meaning applying heat) with it; it would be a waste.
I’ve seen it around at several stores so I’m glad we have a good one readily available here.

Were you at the event in November? So was I!
Thanks for this review!
I love saving these fruity, delicate oils for dressings and finishing touches… cooking with them is a sacrilege for me, a lover of good olive oils!
Yvo, I was!
It’s funny too because I just now opened the bottle I received as well. I got the basil infused one… my companion received the lemon one. The basil is really pronounced.
