My friend Monica brought me some Lindmans Lambic Belgian Framboise Beer. The name is long and confusing, but it’ quite simple, a very raspberry sweet beer, perfect for summer barbecues. Everyone loved it! It is on the sweet side and more soda-like than beer-like to me, but pretty irresistible, even by me (not into sweet, not into soda, and not that into beer and all).
Before you leave work to enjoy the weekend (and I hope you have a delicious one), don’t forget to vote for this month’s Reader’s Choice: Egg Rolls. Voting ends this Sunday!

Scott and I love Blue Point Blueberry Ale. It’s not as sweet as the Lindemans Lambic but there is definitely a hint of blueberry which is very refreshing. If you like the Lindemans Lambic they also have apple, peach, black currant, and I think black cherry flavors which you can try.
We’ve been drinking this around the holidays for years! This is my grandmother in law’s absolute favorite (and mine). Every year we get her two bottles for the holidays and they rarely last past New Years.
The peach is also very good, but the raspberry has that sweet tart thing going on that I ADORE.
This is my new favorite. It’s like drinking a glass of fresh raspberries…not too sweet, not too tart, wonderfully effervescent and absolutely delicious as an ice cream float!!!!
Lindemans actually represents the sweeter end of the spectrum of lambic beers. Traditional lambic beers are actually very sour and acidic, but surprisingly, pleasantly so. You should try them if you can! It’s quite an interesting experience for your taste buds. Some favorites of mine are Cantillon and Drie Fonteinen. They can be found in better beer bars and stores.
Jordan, thanks for the recommendations and some more info on lambic beers. I’d definitely like to taste some more.
LOVE THIS SO MUCH BUT CAN’T HAVE BECAUSE OF GLUTEN….
