In the chaotic kitchen of a recipe developer, you get a food blog called FoodMayhem.
I'm Jessica, an Asian-American, born and raised in NYC, and that's Lon, my Jewish, white husband. While professionally trained as a French culinary- and pastry chef, many of FoodMayhem recipes are my attempt to preserve and share authentic Chinese and Taiwanese recipes learned from my mom. We don't eat Chinese food every day, so you'll get a little bit of anything we find delicious enough to share: from our Eastern European side; recipes and techniques learned from my restaurant days; restaurant reviews, food travel tips; and a few other juicy bits along the way. Welcome to FoodMayhem!

My boyfriend is part greek and a giant feta lover. I mean he can eat it on anything. I must try this one, actually he is the true taster.
Manger La Ville, can you ask him what’s the best one that we can get in the states?
I’m not Greek but I’ve tried TJ’s Crumbled Feta and it was pretty good.
Cookie, I’m exceedingly picky and that’s sort of an understatement but in this case, I really think it’s completely flavorless.
Go to a greek store to get the good stuff, Dodoni feta is great , i frequently get the barrel feta from Christos Marketplace
Perry, funny, sometime after this post, I found Dodoni and love it. I mention it in the comments section of the Pear Feta Orzo Salad post
.
You are wrong about this feta. I had a very difficult time here in Ohio to find any sheep milk feta, the only way was 12.99 or up per pound. And I agree the dodonis feta is tops. But this feta is great tasting and is very close to the real thing. 10.5 oz for 5.29 is well worth it. Try it and dont listen to this Greek hater.
Chris, I’m not sure where I go from not liking the Trader Joe’s feta to becoming a Greek hater?
Sorry that was a little harsh but I don’t know if you got a bad batch, maybe you should give it another chance. It tastes like feta and it’s good.
I agree, I am greek and I think this is a very good substitute for dodoni. Maybe you got a bad batch? I have always been pleased with this and have bought it many times.
Greek Gal, I’d probably be willing to give it another test except that I don’t live near a Trader Joe’s anymore so I rarely get to go. However, I now live pretty close to Astoria where there’s tons of great Greek markets. =)
At this moment I am ready to do my breakfast, afterward having my breakfast coming over again to read further
news.
It’s actually very ifficult in this busy life to listen news
on TV, therefore I only usee weeb ffor that reason, and get the most
recent news.
