I’ve had Za’atar, a Middle Eastern Spice Mixture, at restaurants before and I love, love, love it! I just found out that one of the ingredients for Za’atar is sumac, that new spice I just bought at SOS Chefs. What a great coincidence! The recipe is so easy, you’ve got to try it. You’ll thank me when you smell it!

Za'atar

I’m getting super excited just thinking of all the ways I’m going to use Za’atar now that I know how easy it is to make.

  • Sprinkle on olive oil and dip bread or pita
  • Sprinkle on roasted potatoes or fries
  • Sprinkle on salad
  • Mix it into a focaccia dough or sprinkle on top of focaccia
  • Sprinkle on pizza. ( I know that sounds weird but I think it will be good!)
  • Sprinkle on chicken, salmon, or shrimp

Let me know what you use it on!
