I’ve given Maurizio glowing reviews in the past, but I just went again recently and I was a bit disappointed. The food wasn’t bad but I just wasn’t as impressed this time. My entree of jumbo shrimp were regular sized shrimp. With only four pieces of shrimp, it looked more like an appetizer on a large plate, which is not cool for $28. I’ve had this dish before and last time the shrimp were actually jumbo. The other notable difference was that the service was incredibly slow. Our appetizers came pretty quickly but after that, we waited for a very long time for the main course. A table of six shouldn’t have been a problem, especially since we started dinner rather early.
Since this was one bad experience vs. three good ones, I would give them a shot again. It’s really sad when you find a good restaurant and then they can’t keep it up.
