That's just a complete lapse in logic. However, Tuscany is next on my list since Florence happens to be my husbands favorite place on Earth. (I have been to a few other parts of Italy.) In any case, the reason why people go to restaurants spans more than just the food. As a Chinese person, I've seen bad Chinese restaurants filled with Chinese people as well. It happens. Personally, I would not go back since food is so important to me, but I like you said, when it's not the focus, it's decent. Sometimes places like this aren't so much "have to go to" places, but they do come in handy when you want affordably good food and you're celebrating a birthday or something like that, where the company is the primary focus.
