Unfortunately our university budget crisis has put all travel expense accounts in a frozen state. I was really looking forward to it, but hopefully I’ll get to go next summer. Sad face.

Beer is manna from heaven; I could fulfill your challenge if micros are in the spotlight (mainstream American beers, not so much) and if the stinking economy didn’t prevent me from being able to get out that way this year!

I don’t like most American “brand” beers, but give me a good Guinness or a milk stout and I’ll drink with the best of them!

I used to hate beer too when I thought beer meant Bud, Coors, Amstel, etc. But after realizing the wide variety available, it’s really opened my eyes and now I get cravings for a good beer. Some of my favorites include Bluepoint Blueberry Ale, Corsendonk (brown and pale ale), Saison Dupont, Schneider Weisse, Rogue Dead Guy Ale, La Chouffe, etc. Let me know if you want to do a beer tasting. We can do a cheer=cheese+beer.
