Hi Jessica, Kitchenaid Professional Six are numbers better than the Cuisinart stand mixer. Just my opinion and here's why: eventhough the Cuisinart seems to have a more powerful motor - the whole model is plastic with low quality features - and the gears inside are not comparable to that of KitchenAid because KitchenAid has planetary all steel gears and handmade motor. On Cuisinart the chrome parts are really painted plastic. Yes more powerful motor but the whole thing will break down way before KitchenAid would. KitchenAid Professional Six has 575 watts of a very high quality motor that is thick metal housed inside the model that will last decades, while the Cuisinart will just last until it breaks down.
